What is reiki for animals?
Reiki is not a religion. It is a healing energy and an energetic therapy. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependant on
belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe
method of spiritual healing and self improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also
works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is the Japanese word for a holistic, energybased, light touch healing therapy. Working as a support mechanism, Reiki reestablishes a normal energy flow of CHI
(life force energy) throughout the system, which in turn can enhance and accelerate the body’s innate healing capacity. Reiki is one of the most widely used forms of energy healing for both, people and their animal companions and every living thing. Reiki energy is naturally guided
through the body to promote health, healing, balance and wholeness. Reiki is not meant to diagnose or in any way replace qualified medical help, however it does safely support and enhance all medical treatments.
REIKI TREATMENT
Non-invasive in its nature, Reiki is a therapy that can be used in many situations. During a formal session, which lasts about one hour or however long the animal tolerates in a safe environment for both, animal and practitioner as well as handler.
Reiki practitioners have a heightened awareness or the Ki and are trained to act as conduits for healing energy. Through a series of hand positions either lightly touching or slightly above the body, energy is channeled into the system removing blockages and increasing and normalizing the flow in humans and animals.
